My dad was a really interesting character. He had this incredible ability to make me feel completely at ease — like I could tell him anything. And I did. But somehow, the things I shared always found their way back later, used as leverage, as a way to control and manipulate me.

As a kid, that was incredibly painful. But it taught me something I’ve never forgotten: what NOT to do. It taught me how sacred other people’s vulnerability is. And it taught me to build a life — and a career — where no one ever feels the way I felt growing up.

I entered the mortgage industry in 2005 — a place where people often feel exposed, judged, or afraid — I saw the same dynamic at play. People were asking themselves: “If I say this, will I still get the loan?” “Will this be used against me somehow?

So I made a decision: to create a space where people feel safe, seen, and supported. If I can walk someone through this process with real clarity and care — not only do they get a home, they get peace of mind. And that? That’s where dreams really begin.

That’s what makes me me.
